On this day, Jack Nicklaus Raymond Floyd & Chi Chi Rodriguez won the 1993 Wendys 3 Tour Challenge

Wendy’s 3 Tour Challenge belonged to the Seniors in 93′

The Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge was an unofficial golf event held in November at the Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada. The tournament was a unique stroke play event, and, as the name suggests, pitted three teams, with three members per team, from the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour, and the Champions Tour (known as the Senior PGA Tour prior to 2001) against each other. The 2013 purse is $1 million.

Since 1992, the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge has been the only professional golf tournament that pits three players from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours against each other in competitive, head-to-head threesomes for Tour bragging rights. Each threesome consists of one player from each Tour competing in two separate, nine-hole stroke play matches.
